What maintainance activities should be done to DOORS ?

I am new to DOORS management and trying to find out what needs to be done or should be done
to keep DOORs running now and in the future.

Well, that depends....

Here are some of the things we do but we have 200ish projects in one DOORS database...

1) Weekly archives without baselines for any active project
2) Monthly archives for all active projects (with baselines)
3) Metrics scan which gathers a bunch of metrics such as modules and so on.
- scan checks for deviation from standards such as module and prefix names
- scan checks for "DOORS Links" modules (which by default we create/strip access/delete
but not purge for all folders).
- call out any delete but not purge formal modules (remind projects to purge them)
4) mid-week process where we back up links (especially for cross-project links)
5) We have a nightly process that scans the database (aka 'inventory') which makes the module names
available for use with a web-site use for tools-related service requests.
